Tips on how to service your lighting equipment. Scroll down for power supply information. · Prior to placing a lamp into service please examine the exterior of your lamp. Any lamp that is damaged or cracked must be replaced. · Disconnect all electrical power and put on OSHA approved eye safety before replacing your lamp or working with power supplies and electrical connections. · Never touch a lamp finger prints can degrade lamp performance and the lamp may be very hot. Before attempting to re-lamp or inspect your lamps turn the lamp(s) off and wait a full ten minutes before touching. You will want to test touch to make sure the lamp has cooled. · Make sure that all connections are properly made grounded, and to the line current is 110 V.A.C. · Never hang any electrical equipment by its power cord. · Do not touch the socket interior while the socket is connected (power on) HIGH VOLTAGE may be present. · Do not operate the lamp in wet locations. · Do not rewire or change any of the equipment configurations, doing so can lead to serious injury or even death. · These products get hot very hot keep away from children. · Do not disconnect, connect a lamp cord while ballast (power supply) is turned on. · Do not use any of our equipment with generators; running on a generator voids your warranty. · Metal halide lamps produce ultra violet (U.V.) radiation glass shielding is required. · Most lighting hoods require fan cooling, make certain the fans are working. Broken or cracked metal halide lamps emit UV radiation that can cause skin burns and irritate eyes. In severe instances damage to the eye can be serious. Do not look directly into the light; do not leave bare skin exposed for long periods of time. All double ended bulbs should have UV shielding in place during operation of the lamp. Remember high intensity lamps contain heavy metals dispose of properly. Power supply user guide lines and features Your Green Lighting Works power supply can save you more than (30%) of the energy cost of traditional magnetic ballasts. It has many protection devices built in, short Circuit, open circuit, and hot lamp restart. It is a CWPS device the input current can vary from 115%, down to 75% of the operating voltage and the output wattage will not change. You need no additional hardware, no external triggers or supplemental capacitance devices. The Green Lighting works power supply can be used with either MH or HPS lamps. 1) Make certain power supply input voltage and lamp wattage both match. 2) This is a high voltage device (3KV) make certain electrical power is off. Wear OSHA approved safety eye glasses. 3) Operating temperature range is -40 to+50 degrees C. 4) Use a fused / circuit breaker protected outlet capable of twice the required electrical current. 5) Do not use in and around combustible gasses or combustibles. 6) The power supply is water resistant not water proof. Please install with lead end down or lay flat. Do not install with lead end up. 7) Automatic restart will hold the power off for about ten minutes allowing the lamp to cool prior to restarting it.
