What does CWPS stand for? Constant wattage power supply, our electronic power supplies provide constant wattage to the lamp even at (115 %) of and down to (75%) of rated voltage. How much area does a lamp cover? 150/175 watt approximately (1.5 – 2), 250 watt (2.5 -3), 400 watt (3.5 – 4), 600 watt (6-7), 1,000 watt (7-8) square feet of area. Why use higher wattage bulbs? The deeper the tank depth or the greater the area the higher the wattage required. My equipment will not work Please wait up to ten minutes for ignition of the bulb. Check your electrical connections, the fuse/ circuit breaker, make sure the bulb is completely screwed in. Disconnect electrical power and check your lamp socket. Try a different lamp, the problem may be the lamp not the associated components. Make certain the wattage of the lamp and the power supply match. Make certain the power supply a type and lamp type match. Noisy ballast While all high power ballasts / power supplies do hum excessive noise may indicate a problem. Tripping circuit breaker To much current draw i.e. too many devices are connected to that circuit. If the problem persists contact a certified/licensed electrician. Lamp will not relight. Hot lamp protection circuit in ballast will require up to (20) minutes to restart the lamp. Hot lamps must cool before they will restart. Small pieces of something / glass are loose on the inside the lamp. It is very normal for HID lamps to have small pieces of glass inside of them. This is not indicative of a defective lamp and does not impact lamp operation. Do I need to keep the original packaging? Yes all returns should be done in the original package and you will need to obtain an RGA # from us. Hopefully we answered your question and solved any problems you may have had.
